PRICES OF TWELVE FOOD ITEMS SLASHED BY LANKA SATHOSA

Lanka Sathosa has slashed the prices of 12 essential food items, says the Chairman of Lanka Sathosa, Pasanda Yapa Abeywardena. Accordingly, the revised prices will come into effect from today (Jan. 19). The reduced prices of relevant food items are as follows :

The Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority said that the current government has not imposed the embarkation levy of $60 as a new levy, the President’s Media Division clarifies. It has been in existence and was included in the airfare, the PMD adds.
